……as you know Decca own things like televisions and missiles and things like that…………..we weren’t dropped by Decca their A & R department just folded up and they let us go which was just a joke, everyone thought we were just a 100% hardcore speed band so we put Parisians out, I preferred Lady and it was a double A side but Decca played it to Radio 1 and they said that Parisians was better…………..there is a bootleg coming out for £25 and we’re gonna find out who’s doing it and put a stop to it because I did the work, I wrote the songs and performed them so I want the royalties. The music belongs to us not to some crud-head hippie, they’re all hippies these bootleggers………….

………Oh yeah! it’s a noisy record , that’s partly because I’ve become more involved with noise as a tool as an instrument and as a sound………taboo subjects as I’ve already said attract me because I want to know why they’re taboo and I want to know why people sweep the subject under the carpet, and if I can, I’m going to sweep them out of the carpet……..

The end of an era as this is the last gig of this classic line up. Adam wants to be the first band to play the 1980’s. Adam and the Ants finally do appear, during the set a flare goes off a little too close to Matthew and he storms off throwing down his guitar but he does re-appear.
